Ordering / Lead Time FAQs

How do I place an order on pdcsolutions.com?

Ordering from PDC is easy. Simply navigate to the web page that features the product you want to order. Enter the quantity of units (usually boxes or packs) for each color that you want to order and then click on the Update Cart button. This will take you to your shopping cart where you can view and modify your current selections. Click Update & Checkout when ready to complete the ordering process. 

You will then be directed through the following checkout steps: 

1.     Account Information (Name, Billing/Shipping Addresses, Contact Info, etc.)

2.     Shipping Information (See available shipping methods and costs)

3.     Payment Information (Enter payment info)

4.     Submit Order for Final Processing

5.     Optional – For Custom Printed Orders: Navigate to Artwork Upload page to submit your artwork or text for your custom wristbands.


What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept these major credit cards: Mastercard®, Visa®, and American Express®.

How soon will my wristbands ship?
The “lead time” is displayed for each product. This tells you how long it will take for the product to leave our manufacturing facility. All stock Tyvek® wristbands ship the same business day if ordered by 2:00 p.m. EST. Most stock products ship the next business day. Custom products ship 7-10 business days after artwork approval. May be longer in the busy summer months.

Add the product lead time plus the shipping time to determine when you will receive your products. You can choose from these methods of shipping: UPS® Ground, UPS® 3 Day Select, UPS® 2nd Day Air, or UPS® Next Day Air.

I need my wristbands in less than the lead time shown. Can I expedite my order?
If our schedule permits, Production may accept a Rush Request for a fee of $100.00. You will not be charged unless we are able to comply. The amount of time adjusted may vary, and if not approved by you, the customer, you will not be charged, and the order will ship on its regular schedule.

Why can’t I order RFID wristbands or products online?

To help ensure that you select the right products for your unique application, we offer expert service and consultation by phone. Please call Customer Service at 800.255.1865 to order RFID products.

I am tax exempt. How do I have sales tax removed from my order?

PDCSolutions.com does not accommodate tax exempt organizations at this time. You will need to retain your invoice and declare the sales tax to be refunded from your Federal and state taxes. Consult your accountant.
 


Shipping / Freight FAQs

If I select Next Day Air for shipping method does that mean I will have my order the next day?
No. Pay close attention to the published Lead Time for each specific product. Generally, most in stock wristbands ship the day AFTER the order is placed. If you place your order for plastic wristbands (with NO Custom Imprint) on Tuesday at 2:30 pm, they may ship the following business day, Wednesday. If you selected Next Day for shipping, your order will deliver Thursday. All stock Tyvek® wristbands are guaranteed to ship same day if placed before 11:00 a.m. PST. Holidays and weekends are excluded from “business days.”

If I order Custom Imprint wristbands and select 2-Day Air for shipping, will I receive my order in two days?
No. It still takes a minimum of seven business days for Production (after we have final art approval). UPS® will then require two more days to transit your order to you. May be longer in the busy summer months.

Can I use my own shipper account?
Yes. In the special instructions for shipping, enter instructions for using your FedEx® or UPS® account. Enter your account number. NOTE: The standard shipping charge will show up in your shopping cart but will be removed manually before your credit card is charged.

Can I ship to a location outside the USA?
You will need to contact our International Department at 818.897.1111 ext. 1308 for a pricing quote and to place your order. Note that prices shown on this website are for online ordering in the USA only.

 


Custom Printing FAQs

How do I order custom wristbands?

Most of our custom wristbands can be ordered online. Simply select a custom product and follow the ordering instructions provided on the page. The custom artwork is submitted AFTER you have completed the checkout process. You will then be directed to our Artwork Upload page. Note that we offer limited customization on the website to keep the process simple for our customers. But we offer many more customization options offline, so call us (800) 255-3504 to discuss other options. Also refer to our Artwork Specifications page for more info.

Can I add my logo and wording to my wristbands?
Yes. Use our Artwork Upload page to upload your logo image. Then type in your custom wording and choose from a variety of fonts. 

Will I see a proof of my custom wristbands?
Yes. Customer Service will e-mail you an Artwork Approval Form for your custom wristbands within one business day. Your approval will be required to proceed with the order. Production lead time starts after we receive your approval of the artwork.

I ordered Custom printed wristbands in the past. Can I use that same art and not pay the Plate Fee?
PDC keeps art plates for two years. If you are ordering within that time we will still have access to the existing art plate. You must specify in your order (Special Notes Field) that you want to use existing artwork #12345. This applies only if you are ordering the same type of wristband as you ordered before. For instance, if you originally ordered a Tyvek® wristband and now you want a plastic wristband with the same art, we will need to create a new art plate and therefore a new Plate Fee will apply.

What is the process for using existing art for the same style wristband?
Please note your existing artwork number in the Special Notes field during checkout. Example note: Use existing artwork #12345 on my order. Remove the plate charge.

If you have previously ordered from us and have a login account, you can view your existing artwork using the My Account 360° page and selecting “Artwork.” There you will see a list of all active artwork on file for your account.

You may also call a Web Order Specialist to place your order if you do not know your artwork number. They will need to know your account number to locate your existing art file, so be prepared to provide information, such as zip code or email address, if you do not know your account number or the art number. If we cannot locate your existing account we will not be able to find the art file. Tell the Representative that this is a Web reorder and that you are to receive web pricing.

How long will it take for my Custom Printed wristbands to get to me?
Every Custom Imprinted wristband order has three time-cycles to consider. 
1: Custom Artwork Approval, 2: Production Time, 3: Shipping method.
 

1.     Custom Artwork Approval takes a minimum of  24 hours. You will be emailed or faxed a proof of your wristband imprint which needs to be faxed back. After we receive your final approval we enter into Production. 

2.     Production: This period varies, depending on the wristband style and whether you requested serial numbers. When you place your order, you will see instructions indicating the “lead time”. For most wristbands it is seven business days for wristbands with NO serial numbers. When you request serial numbers more production time is needed, usually an additional three business days.  May be longer in the busy summer months.

3.     Shipping Method:  Shipping time is added AFTER production ships your order. Our standard carrier is UPS®. If you ship “Ground” (the least expensive) the shipping schedule will depend on where you live. It can be up to 5 or 7 days. Other options are 3-Day, 2-Day, or Next-Day. Again, this time period is added AFTER your order ships, it does NOT affect the wristband production schedule. 

If you are considering custom printed wristbands, it's advised to allow yourself at least three weeks for most wristbands. If you’re not sure, call us 800.255.1865 and speak to a Web Order Specialist about scheduling.

Can I imprint in white or other ink colors?
Yes, most of our wristband styles are available with colored ink imprints. Our SureImage® wristbands are printed in full color, so you supply your artwork in CMYK (4-color) format. Silicone wristbands can be printed with a variety of spot ink colors. The other wristband styles offered with online custom printing are printed in black ink. However most of these wristbands are available offline with a variety of imprint ink colors. Call our Web Order Specialist at (800) 255-1865 if you need custom options that you don’t see online. Depending upon the custom options desired, pricing may vary and order quantity minimums may apply.
